The new buildings required the demolition of the Round Chemistry building and they had to be attached to the end wall of the old school main schoolroom. They had a problem as they had to match the brickwork of the 1849 building. More
I was at Sandbach School for 37 years and have worked with a lot of staff, some of whom had worked at the school for many years before I came. Some went to the school as pupils. They have pointed out bits of the school’s history to me over the years which I would have otherwise missed. More

Some highlights from 2017’s annual Golf Day
Passed away on 29th July, 2019, aged 67. Formerly of Sandbach and a much respected history teacher at Sandbach School for 30 years. He was the husband of Marion, father of Andrew and Catherine, father-in-law to Jack and grandfather to Eloise and Susanna. He was a keen photographer, violinist and active member of St Joseph’s RC Church, Accrington.
