We are delighted to invite you to our flagship summer event at Sandbach School on July 16th . This will be our first AGM for 2 years, and we are combining this with a buffet lunch and also a special guest of former staff member John Owen. To start the day we will also be holding our annual Service in the school chapel. More
In all the 300 plus years of Sandbach School, I wonder if any summer ever saw the end of such a large number of cumulative service years. The Summer 1985 Sandbachian reported the retirement of 5 staff members who had between them spanned 5 decades and notched up about 118 years of teaching at the school. More
Having joined Sandbach School in 1977 at the age of 11, Paul Franklin’s work as a visual effects supervisor has since taken him around the world and onto the sets of famous, critically-acclaimed films including Inception, Interstellar, The Dark Knight and Venom. More
In March 2022, the Old Sandbachians’ Association proudly handed over a cheque for £1,000 to Sandbach School Head Teacher, Sarah Burns.

We heard over the weekend from Colin Brown (former Head Teacher) the sad news that his wife Christine passed away on January 24th. Our deepest sympathies go out to Colin . The funeral will be on 14 February at Vale Royal Crematorium 2.00pm. More
It is with much sadness that we learnt recently of the death of Nigel Johnson, former Head of English. Nigel taught at the school from 1973 – 1983. He inspired many boys through his love of literature and genuine interest in helping individuals achieve their potential. More
