The London Reception at the Royal Air Force Club in London has become a must-do event for many Old Boys since its inception in 2016.
We have been honoured to have guest speakers including a recorded greeting from the late Geoff Piggott. An old boy and former teacher Glynn Robinson was due to speak this year and so it was disappointing when Glynn was unable to make it due to personal commitments.
This however prompted us to consider a different centrepiece for the day. So we came up with the idea of an Inter House Competition. So the question is:
How do you hold a House Competition comprising Rugby, Tug of War, Golf, Geography Challenge and the Road Relay in the confines of a luxurious meeting room?
We have found a way and we hope it will generate interest and galvanise a few new attendees. With Prizes and maybe even a cup, it may in itself become as competitive as the challenges which take place at the school every year.
