Interview: Cyril Horsley – Part 1

Cyril Horsley was at Sandbach School from 1938. He is the oldest Sandbachian that we know. He attended St Peter’s Primary School in Elworth, where he was a friend the late Reg Dunning. He was at the school through the war years and was able to give a unique insight into life in those difficult times. Cyril spoke to Jeff Lewis and Ryan Grant (our Honorary Communication Officer) about his time at school, his life after conscription and the long lasting impact of the school on his life. Over the next few weeks we will be sharing some clips of the interview, starting today with Cyril’s memory of the Head Teacher Mr H L Crockett.

Thanks to Ryan for the material. (Ryan is Managing Editor for the English Football League.)
